Print Issue Guidelines

Deadline for Dark 2013 issue: February 21st, 2014. 

Theme: "Lady (De)Constructed" 

We use the term lady in the title of our zine to refer to womyn, but not because we believe in adhering to a socially defined femininity. In fact it's exactly the opposite. We want you to define or redefine what lady means.

• Written pieces
-Should be less than 1,000 words
-Submitted as Word documents (preferably as .doc, not .docx).
-You can lay out your piece, just see our visual guidelines below

• Visual pieces
-Must be in black and white
-Submitted as PDFs or JPEGS
-Should measure 8" x 5" max
(We are a photocopied publication, so keep in mind photos and fine details will not translate well.)

• Submit

-With "C.L.A.P. submission"somewhere in the subject line
-please also include a photo of yourself and short, two sentence bio for our contributors section! 

Contributors will receive a complimentary issue —when submitting work, please include a shipping address we can send your issue to!
